Vinyl Resin is a copolymer which is produced with the composition of vinyl chloride monomer and vinyl acetate monomer by the initiator function, mainly one copolymerization.

Vinyl Resin could be classified as different kinds because of copolymer composition difference or different kinds copolymers, for examples: vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate copolymer,vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate terpolymer, vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate quadripolymer. Different kinds vinyl resin has different performance and application fields, mainly by controlling the vinyl acetate percentage composition with adding the vinyl acetate monomer gradually to achieve different performance requirements,and there are hydroxyl and carboxyl vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate terpolymers.

Vinyl Chloride and Vinyl Acetate Copolymers has excellent performance and there are two ways to acquire this product, once is changing the composition of vinyl resin copolymerization monomers,and the other is mixing with other synthetic resin. Modified vinyl resin terpolymers by alkyd resin can increase the nonvolatility and improve the glossiness and gloss retention; Vinyl Resin by epoxy resin can enhance the adhesive force but powder pulverization worse under basking heavily in the Sun; Vinyl Resin by phenolic resin can also enhance the adhesive force and hardness and increase the nonvolatility, and such vinyl resin can be used for baking primers, so does for vinyl resin by amino resin with the function of glossiness and hardness improvement, and the defect is flexibility decrease.

The vinyl resin performance depends on the ratio of the two monomers, of course it is based on the same molecular weight. Vinly Acetate can make the process more convenient and enhance the fluidity of the copolymer. The higher the content, the better the solubility. Based on the same content, the lower viscosity the better solubility; Acetate content increases, its softening point drops, the product is easy to form, which can prolong life; More than 13% vinyl acetate content is widely used. 

Vinyl Resin has very good function in coatings, for example, increasing the adhesive force on substrate, anti-corrosion of chemicals, anti-ethanol, and making the Silver powder more better permutation. Vinyl resin can be also used in adhesives to increase the adhesive force on metal materials.
